- Explore the Bismarck Sea and Pacific with Lissenung Island
Resort -
Trip 1: 10 June - 18 June 2008
Trip 2: 21 June - 29 June 2008
During
this week-long trips, you will visit areas rarely if ever
dived. Accommodation will be at Lissenung Island Resort
and at guest houses in New Hanover and on Djaul Island.
They will take their dive boats to explore some new dive
sites, and visit some sites that are very good, but rarely
have the chance to dive. Weather permitting, these include
a little sub at New Hanover, and a ship wreck.

Conditions:
- Group rates and other special offers do not apply
- Divers should hold a minimum of Advanced Open Water plus
50 dives, or Open Water plus
100 dives. Please present logbook for verification.
- Divers must hold DAN insurance.
- Divers have to pay an Environment & Safety Fee of
AU$ 4.00 per person per dive day. This amount helps fund
the recompression facility in Port Moresby as well as environmental
programs throughout PNG. This is not an insurance and does
neither cover evacuation nor chamber treatment.
- A deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking. Final
payment must be made 45 days prior to arrival at Lissenung
Island Resort.

Itinerary
Day 1 :
• Arrival at Lissenung Island Resort
• Opportunity for shore diving at Lissenung Island
• Overnight at Lissenung Island Resort
Day 2 :
• Diving some of Lissenung's famous dive sites such
as Albatross Passage, Peter's Patch as well as exploring
some new sites.
• Overnight at Lissenung Island Resort
Day 3 :
• Depart for Djaul Island, in the Bismarck Sea. The
island is located off the west coast of New Ireland and
the trip will take approx. 90 minutes by boat.
• Diving around Djaul Island
• Overnight at guest house on Djaul
Day 4 :
• Diving around Djaul Island
• In the afternoon, return to Lissenung Island Resort
• Overnight at Lissenung Island Resort
Day 5 :
• Diving some of Lissenung's great dive sites
• Overnight at Lissenung Island Resort
Day 6 :
• Depart for New Hanover, in the Pacific. New Hanover
has some fantastic dive sites, and we will visit the north-east
tip of New Hanover. The boat ride over will take approx.
75 minutes.
• Diving around New Hanover
• Overnight at Mansava or Haus Sirambat on Tsoi Island.
Day 7 :
• Diving around New Hanover
• In the afternoon, return to Lissenung Island Resort
• Overnight at Lissenung Island Resort
Day 8 :
• Back to Lissenung Island for some more great diving
in this area
• Overnight at Lissenung Island Resort
Day 9 :
• Depart Lissenung Island Resort or stay on for some
more awesome diving! (Normal accommodation and diving rates
apply!)
This is a sample itinerary only and is subject to change
without notice, depending on weather conditions. Satellite
phone, Oxygen and First Aid equipment and spare parts kit
are on board the dive boats. Please note that the guest
houses visited might be very basic. However, the experience
you will gain during this trip will be very much worth the
effort!
