Nestled amongst picturesque coconut groves overlooking the Wori Bay and just minutes away from North Sulawesi's Bunaken National Park, Kima Bajo is a small upscale boutique resort which offers romance, luxury and every comfort a diver could wish for.
The resort is conveniently located just 25 minutes from Manado's international airport. Divers can expect world class dive and snorkel experiences while non divers take part in soft adventures available in the surrounding Minahasa Highlands or relax at the pool with beautiful views of Bunaken Island and Manado Tua and breathtaking sunsets over the Sea of Sulawesi.

The Resort

The resort features a large pool, bar restaurant and its own Mayana Spa facility.
The Nibong Restaurant and Bar offer international and local Manadonese cuisine. Stepping down from the restaurant is the pool deck and private beach where one can be totally immersed in the spectacular sunsets with the conical Manado Tua rising from the horizon.

Needless to say a setting like this is ideal for a table set for 2 on the beach, under the stars, and romance.

Retreat into the lush bamboo framed Mayana Spa with an array of spa treatments while lulling to the ebb and flow of the sea. Mayana Spa promises to rejuvenate and soothe battered urban souls with spa treats derived from a fusion of traditional jamu (Indonesian herbs) and conventional aromatherapy essential oils. From invigorating massages to luxurious spa treatments, guests calm their nerves with the strong sensuous strokes of our trained therapists. Couples unwind at their personal spa cove while taking pleasure in the magnificent sight.

Accommodation
Your choice of accommodation includes 19 luxurious "bunga" villas with a sunken outdoor bathtub and shower, an exclusive two-villa suite with its own private swimming pool and 12 spacious longhouse rooms. All structures in the resort are designed and lovingly constructed from the finest wood, stone and other natural materials available locally, to create a style that is contemporary and yet very much in keeping with the North Sulawesi image.

Bunga Villas
Located throughout the grounds of the resort are 19 luxurious, garden or sea view, air-conditioned, resort-style villas with one super king-size or two single twin canopy beds, an outdoor sunken bath and shower, an indoor western bathroom and shower, and a private balcony.

Grand Villa Suite
The Grand Villa Suite offers our guests the upmost in comfort and luxury, with 2 exclusive, air-conditioned villa suites, satellite TV, an adjoining private swimming pool and a covered sun deck. The main suite's facilities include a super king size canopy bed, an outdoor sunken tub and shower, indoor western bathroom and shower, and a private balcony and entrance. The adjoining suite's facilities include 2 twin beds, a private entrance and an indoor/outdoor western bathroom and shower.

Deluxe Longhouse
There are 12 spacious, air-conditioned villa-style longhouse rooms, with two twin beds or one king-size bed, connecting rooms, private ensuite western bathroom and shower amenities, and a beautiful, lush garden view.

All accommodation also include: mini bar, separate water heater, telephone service, individual safe deposit box in each room and at the front desk, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, and guest toiletries.

Dive Shop

Eco Divers, based at Kima Bajo Resort & Spa, is a PADI 5 Star Center. Managers Luca Vaime (Italian) & Miho Takeda (Japanese) have already managed an upscale dive operation in North Sulawesi since 2005, so they know every bit of the Bunaken National Park. The purpose built boats are powered by energy efficient double outboard engines and have comfort features including sundeck, camera rinse tanks, WC and shaded salon. They take divers to over 30 dive sites with speed and comfort, each carrying a maximum of just 8 guest divers. Snorkellers and non-divers are also welcome to join the trips. Dive groups are kept very small - just 4 guests to each guide. At the jetty a camera storage facility with individual lockers is available for guests’ use.

Their daily dive program to Bunaken National Park offers a two-tank morning trip and one-tank afternoon trip. The morning trip departs at 8.15am and the boats return at around 1pm, so guests can enjoy lunch at Kima Bajo Resort. The afternoon trip departs at 3pm and returns by around 4.30-5.00pm. Night dives, special trips to Lembeh Strait and PADI dive courses can be arranged on request.Northern Sulawesi's PADI 5 Star Gold Palm IDC facility, is running the dive operation at Kima Bajo, which guarantees consistency in service. Their experienced dive guides will show you the wonders of the "critter heaven". Your gear will be set up and washed down for you by the very helpful and friendly dive crews. All you will need to look after is your camera equipment.

Photo/Video Facilities

A lockable camera room with plenty of shelves provides enough space for everyone. There are numerous powerpoints, allowing chargers etc to be plugged into. Remember to bring an adapter as Indonesian sockets take two round pins.

Activities

Apart from eating, diving, eating, diving and sleeping it is also possible to arrange for local tours, a visit to the Bitung markets or maybe a massage. The friendly reception staff will assist you, with a smile.
