Die drei Tauchgebiete die man von hier aus erreichen kann, Bunaken, Bangka Island und Lembeh, wirken auf Taucher schon lange wie ein Magnet.

Tauchgegenden

Bunaken National Park bietet rund 25 Tauchspot mit Steilwänden die mit farbprächtigen Weichkorallen und Fächerkorallen bewachsen sind. Bangka Island ist für rasante Strömungstauchgänge und Grossfische bekannt. Muck diving in der Lembeh Straight kann von der Artenvielfalt her, mit den besten Tauchplätzen in Neu Guinea verglichen werden. Haarige Anglerfische, Pygmäen Seepferde, und Geisterfetzenfische sind nur einige der einzigartigen Lebewesen die man hier, mit Hilfe von den perfekten Augen der Tauchguides, finden kann. In einem Urlaub kann man von Manado aus drei total unterschiedliche Unterwasserwelten bewundern.

Das Resort

Murex Manado Resort liegt in einer Bucht circa 30km von Manado entfernt. Der Strand ist in wenigen Schritte von den Bungalows aus zu erreichen und läd zum Relaxen ein. Der tropische Garten in welchem die Anlage fast verschwindet, bietet Schatten an heissen Tagen und lockt ortstypische Vögel an.

Unterkunft

Alle Zimmer haben Klimaanlage und Deckenventilator, privates Bad mit Dusche und WC, Kühlschrank, und Balkon oder Veranda.

Zimmer haben Doppelbetten oder 2 Einzelbetten, und ein paar Zimmer sind grösser und können 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder unterbringen.

Dive Shop

Diving arrangements are flexible as the diving can be tailored to your level of experience and personal preferences offering boutique dives with limited numbers to ensure individual attention and uncrowded dive sites !

All instructors and divemasters are PADI, NAUI, or Association of Nitrox Dive Instructors (ANDI) certified. Murex also produces Nitrox SafeAir with the ability to go below 39 metres. The dive staff who work with nitrox have all completed ANDI nitrox certification.
In addition Murex also rents nitrox compatible regulators and computers.

Most of the dive team have been at Murex for years and not only are they supremely experienced at guiding guests, they know the sites intimately and go out of their way to show you the interesting creatures that inhabit them.
Dive briefings are mandatory and comprehensive. All dive crew members are completely fluent in English – many are fluent in other languages too.

All dive boats carry oxygen and all our personnel are fully trained in its use. There is a hyperbaric (re-compression) chamber at Manado General Hospital, which Murex’s founder and owner, Dr Batuna, set up.

Special dive trips to Lembeh
(If you have always wondered what muck-diving is all about, then here is your opportunity to try it out). If you have prepaid your dives in the package, an additional fee of US$20 applies (minimum 2 divers).

If you have prepaid your other dives in the package, an additional fee of US$30 applies (minimum 2 divers).

Photo/Video Facilities

Modern facilities available, you can have your digital photos burned to CD, rent cameras and accessories, and get advise from the experts.

Activities
Manado and North Sulawesi have lots of interesting things to do other than diving.
You can go jungle trekking, climb one of the volcanos, see a lake that changes colour according to the sun's position, visit a vibrant local market with a huge variety of colorful local fare, go white water rafting, horse ride in the hills, or just chill out in beautiful park-like surroundings in the cool of the hills.

Manado city itself is worth a visit and there is a lovely walk along the bay side at night. Manadonese people pride themselves on their sophistication and the town reflects this.
A largely Christian province, Manado has had no history of terrorism or unrest of any sort so you can be confident that your time with us will be stress and trouble free.
