All of the dive facilities and equipment storage are conveniently
located within the grounds of the Hotel. Yap Divers, located on
the premises, offer a full service dive shop, all levels of instruction,
Mares equipment rental, morning and afternoon two tank dives to
either the Manta sites or the reefs, and night dives on request.
Dive Sites
Although there are a host of charted dive sites and a program to
discover more dive destinations, the fun part is that more than
50% of Yap's reefs remain unexplored. It is often said that Yap
is "World Class Diving's best kept Secret".
The professional staff at Yap Divers will guide you to the best
diving Yap has to offer, from the gentle mantas of Mil Channel and
Valley of the Rays, to the spectacular walls, reefs and sheer drop-offs
at the southern end of the island such as the Yap Caverns, Magic
Kingdom, Cabbage Patch & Gilman Wall.
Most of Yap's dive sites are within a 30-50 minute boat ride of
the dive centre.

Features
A
unique feature of the Resort is a sailing boat MNUW (in the Yapese
language Mnuw is the name of a rare sea hawk that is seldom seen
but yet famous in Yapese traditional lore) which is permanently
moored to the side of the hotel.
She offers guests an air-conditioned private dining room, two bars,
a movie room, a game room, meeting rooms and the ambience of the
South Seas. The famous Nautical Weaver Bar has moved from the actual
hotel building to the wheelhouse deck and commands a gorgeous view
of Tomil Harbour. Beer is seved from the resorts own Microbrewery.
Accommodation
The
hotel has been expanded to 28 rooms, including 15 Ocean View, 4
Deluxe Ocean View and 9 Standard. The Ocean View rooms are located
on the seaward side of the hotel, providing a nice view of the lagoon
from their private balconies. The Standard rooms are located on
the opposite side, overlooking the road and the hills beyond.
The first floor has 5 rooms with a queen size waterbed and a queen
size regular bed per room. Most of the rooms on the second and third
floors have two queen size regular beds per room. A few rooms on
the 2nd and 3rd floors have 1 king size bed per room. The Deluxe
Ocean View Rooms have one king size antique bed.
All
rooms are decorated with tropical flair including tiled floors throughout
the hotel. Furniture is natural rattan with a tropical pastel fabric,
and pots of exotic tropical plants can be found everywhere.
The motif of the entire hotel is marine life. Each room bears a
fish name, and is decorated accordingly, with photographs and paintings
of that fish, right down to the hand carved key chain. The double
doors connecting the rooms of the suite are adorned with carvings
of manta rays.
The Deluxe Ocean View room has a private spiral staircase leading
to an exclusive roof top Jacuzzi and sun deck plus a special amenity
package.
The hotel offers a suite by opening adjoining doors in the Deluxe
Ocean View Room. The suite includes two full bathrooms, one king
size bed and two queen size beds, two balconies, two TV/VCRs and
two mini-bars with safes.
