Products / Accommodation / Indonesia / Gangga Island Resort, North Sulawesi

Exquisite diving whilst staying at an exclusive resort?
Gangga Island Resort & Spa turns the dream into reality!

Gannga Island Resort North SulawesiIf you value the quality of your accommodation as much as you value the quality of the dive sites you visit, we would suggest a stay at Gangga Island Resort & Spa. Gangga island most closely matches anyones stereotype of a beautiful tropical island with white beaches, shady bungalows just off the beach and a first class resort and dive service. Gangga offers easy access to all three dive regions in North Sulawesi, it is a fantastic location for divers and non-divers travelling together, they provide a personal touch in their hospitality and the resort places a strong focus to involve the local community in the resort.

Flying Gurnard, Lembeh StraitSpecial dive trips to Lembeh

(you have always wondered what muck-diving is all about, so here is your opportunity to try it out). Lembeh is one of these places which it is easy to become addicted to. I certainly did, and now I can't imagine a trip to Sulawesi without doing a few dives there. It is critter heaven!

Special dive trips to Bunaken Marine Park

Bunaken National Park provides an interesting addition to your dive programme with its unique walls and affluence of turtles. On the way, have a look out for pilot whales and dolphins. You might even be lucky and see a group of sperm whales lazing on the surface.

Park Fees: If you have prepaid your dives, an additional National Park fee of US$5.00 applies. Or you can buy a 12 month pass for US$16, should you plan to stay at Gangga Island and also at one of the Manado dive resorts later on.

With the diving well described, now to the topside attraction, the resort itself. It has been built under shady palm trees and the bungalows are surrounded by tropical gardens running directly down to a white sand.

The resort has a large swimming pool with inviting deck chairs overlooking the sea. The restaurant serves international and indonesian cuisine. In fact the food deserves a special mention. From the breakfast buffet to the four course lunch and dinner, guest on Gangga island are exposed to culinary delights not standard to many dive resorts. The Bar has a good choice of Australian wines, beers and cocktails available.
