The most comfortable day trip to the reef
This modern, advanced diving vessel transports you in air-conditioned comfort
to the Outer Barrier Reef in just 90 minutes. Seaquest takes snorkellers, divers
and intro divers to the reef. As one of 60 guests (maximum) you can be assured
of individual attention from the trained crew. They offer state of the art diving
and snorkelling equipment.
Dive Sites
The dive locations on the
outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef offer superb coral formations and abundant,
colourful marine life including "Wally", the friendly 1.5m Maori Wrasse at Norman
Reef. Other destinations are Hastings and Saxon Reef. The locations vary with
the conditions, however each site is chosen for visual impact, ecological diversity
and the challenge of discovery.

Features
SeaQuest ADV caters superbly for both certified and introductory divers. The SeaQuest
ADV Discover Scuba Diving program is your perfect introduction to the reef with
pre-dive tuition, close underwater supervision, dive recognition card and certificate
included. Certified divers can explore two dive locations in one day
- Snorkelling: Visit spectacular Norman Reef at the very edge of the
Great Barrier Reef and spend a leisurely five hours at play amongst the colourful
coral and marine life. All your snorkelling gear is provided. So there is nothing
to hold you back!
- Introductory Diving: Discover scuba diving. Diving
is for everyone... including those who have never dived before. While snorkelling
allows you to view fish and coral from above the reef, diving allows you to experience
the underwater world close up, explore the coral and swimming with the fish. If
this is your only chance to see the Great Barrier Reef, make sure you experience
all you can by diving it. We have been taking people to the reef for over 18 years
and all Dive Instructors are professionally qualified PADI Instructors. There
is still plenty of time to enjoy all other activities on board with family and
friends. Please note a medical form must be completed on board.
- Certified
Diving: Certified divers can enjoy up to two dives, from the large divedeck.
Dives are usually organised in buddy teams with a detailed briefing about the
dive site. Guided dives can be arranged at extra cost. Explore spectacular coral
formations and underwater gardens teeming with vibrantly coloured marine creatures.
