"Death and Dying, How to help the deceased"
Saturday July 9        10am - 4pm.

Rinchen will conduct a one day workshop at the centre

In this workshop Rinchen will cover the topics of Death and Impermanence, the dissolution process at the time of death, the Bardo Being and instruction on the Practice of KAR SOOR, a traditional Tibetan practice and ritual that we can do for those who have died.

KAR SOOR means white mixture of vegatarian food stuff. This offering is a ritual done to help the deceased leave this physical world without any attachment and to seek spritual rebirth by reflecting his or her mind on vituous thoughts.

Rinchen is a fully ordained nun in the Sakya tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and is a student of Lama Choedak Rinpoche. She is also the coordinator of MAITREYA HOSPICE VOLUNTEERS INC, a not for profit organisation that provides in home respite to the carers of terminal ill people. Rinchen will draw on her experience of having worked with the dying.

The workshop is invaluable for those of us whowish to life well AND die well.

Cost $40 or $30 members/conc or Maitreya Volunteers. Bring own lunch, cost includes text for the practice. Bookings essential
