The Wheel of Life (Sanskrit Bhavacakra)
The Wheel of Life illustrates in essence the Buddhist
teachings, The Four Noble Truths: the existence of
suffering, the cause of suffering, the cessation or
prevention of suffering, and the path to liberation
>from suffering. This amazing painting depicts, in the
centre the three poisons, greed, ignorance and hatred,
surrounded by the six realms of existence, encircled
by the 12 links of dependent origination. In this
workshop Rinpoche will give an overview of the
symbolic meaning of all the aspects of the Wheel of
life and how we can break the hub and turn the wheel
of Dharma to find liberation from suffering.
Cost $60, $50 members & Conc, bring lunch to share,
tea/coffee and bisc provided
Sunday
Night 7.30pm
Manjushri Empowerment and Teachings
Manjushri is well known as the embodiment of all the
wisdom teachings of the Buddha. Many students have
observed how much emphasis Rinpoche places on the
Manjushri practice which he discreetly introduces as
Speech Blessing in his teachings. Rinpoche says
speech can be much more destructive than nuclear
weapons, especially as the effects of negative speech
are felt instantly. Majushris sun-radiance dispels
the obstacles to clear understanding and insight and
is a wonderful antidote to negative speech.
Cost $20 - $15 members & conc
