Saturday Workshop Mindfulness Intensive
Mindfulness meditation or Calm Abiding practice has been at the heart of Buddhist practice for over 2,500 years, and only recently has it been shown scientifically to be a powerful practice for enhancing emotional health and well-being. Mindfulness is now used in the management of stress, in palliative care, in mental health treatment, and in the scientific study of consciousness. Thupten Lekshe will lead this day of practice experiencing what mindfulness is, how it works, and how we can bring this ancient spiritual discipline into our everyday life.

Sunday Workshop Tools of Transformation-
The use of ritual and symbol in Buddhist practice Over more than a thousand years Tibetan Buddhism has refined and mastered the technology of transforming everyday reality into higher states of awareness through the use of Tantra, or Vajrayana, practice. In these practices visualisations, hand gestures, and chanting are used as a swift method to awaken and maintain deep states of wisdom and compassion. In this one day workshop, Thupten Lekshe will explain the profound meaning of common symbols and rituals, and show how this special kind of Buddhist practice can enliven and enrich ones spiritual and personal life.

Cost for each workshop is $50 or $40 members/conc, there is a discount if you book for both, $90 or $70 members/conc Includes lunch and refreshments, bookings essential.
